It's Okay to be Selfish
The tapestry of Fall is one of the most beautiful sites to behold. People travel far and wide to catch the perfect glimpse of the rich hues of red, orange, and yellow against the blue sky.
It’s so ironic that this spectacular show that nature puts on every year is really an act of selfishness.
You see, leaves don’t just change colors and fall off the tree; the tree actually pushes the leaves off so that it can conserve water and energy and survive the Winter. This is a great metaphor for life, sometimes you have to push certain things out of your life so that you can survive.
Nature is the greatest teacher, if the trees can be selfish, so can you!
Make a point to do something just for you.
Really, it’s OK. In fact, it is necessary for your well-being. Take that trip you really want to go on but keep saying “I shouldn’t do it” or “maybe I’ll go later” or “I don’t have time” or “I don’t have money”, yada, yada, yada.
Like the tree drops those leaves, you need to drop those excuses…now is th perfect time.
